Hi Friends – Inspired by a recent post by my Photoshop idol, Glyn Dewis, Tom Hiddleston and I spent a little quality time in the studio this week. And by studio, I mean my dining room table. And by Tom Hiddleston, I mean the Loki 1/6 scale figure from Hot Toys.
But even though it was only a molded and hand-painted latex version of the God of Mischief, we had some fun and created some pretty cool images…
I treated the shoot like a portrait session. It was a one-light setup with a Nikon SB-800 speed light and the Rogue Flashbender XL 2 Pro modifier; Nikon D3/Nikkor 105 macro combo. Went for a Rembrandt lighting configuration, and thought it worked pretty well.
I can’t wait for Glyn’s new book: “Photograph Like a Thief: Using Imitation and Inspiration to Create Great Images“, available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
