USMC Portrait Event – Smiles Across the Miles

Yesterday, our Smiles Across the Miles team had the opportunity to provide free professional portraiture for US Marines and their families from Camp Pendleton at an honorary BBQ/picnic hosted by Mariners Church in Irvine, CA.  These young men are deploying to Afghanistan in about 3 months.

First, my heartfelt thanks to the Marines and families who are sacrificing so much for my freedoms!  Secondly, thank you so much to our fantastic Smiles Across the Miles team for their giving of time and talent.  It was a day well spent.

The OC Register had an article on the event in today’s paper (online version here).  And here are a few of my favorite portraits from the day.

And our Smile Across the Miles Team:

More portraits from the day on my gallery.

Lots of young families…  I pray that all of these young men come home. But it occurred to me as I was processing these images that this may be the last family portrait for some of these folks. Please keep them in your prayers.

Share and Enjoy!
