Veterans Portraits on Display

Hi Friends,

Haverstick - Invitation_Page_1I’m very excited to announce that the Faces of Freedom Project is being featured at Anaheim’s beautiful Center Gallery for the next two months (September thru end of October).

The Faces of Freedom Project is an ongoing personal portrait endeavor to say “thank you” to the men and women of our armed forces who have sacrificed so much for MY freedoms.  It features elegant black and white portraits of many of the patriots I’ve met through the Orange Plaza Flag Ceremony, Orange County Stand Down, and other veterans outreach events.

Opening Reception – You’re Invited

An opening reception is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/22/15 from 5-7:30 PM, and I’d love to see you there.

The Center Gallery is located at 250 E. Center St. Anaheim 92805 – in the heart of the restored “Colony District.” Parking is free in the Center Gallery parking lot, or across the street from the Gallery.

I hope you can join me for the reception, but even if not, please feel free to drop in to the gallery any time between now and the end of October.  If the faces you encounter there inspire you to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or buy a lunch for a veteran, then I will have accomplished my heart’s desire with this project.

One glance of my computer screen showing the OC Register’s story of your Faces of Freedom Project exhibit compelled me to thank you. Your powerful images sear our souls. Once I saw you at work photographing our men and women warriors at Orange’s Patriot Plaza’s Wednesday night ceremony. Seeing one image and I knew it was you. Your ability to immortalize the essence of your subject is unique and powerful.

    Dear Mr. Haverstick,
Thank you for all that you have done for our Country and your fellow Veterans both of the past wars and present. It is patriot like yourself that made our Country the land of the free and the home of the brave. Always Faithful…
    With warmest regard,
    Chuong Nguyen
